What is an ocean?
The ocean is a huge body of water that seems endless. Oceans can be found at the shoreline of any continent and are home to many different plants, fish, and mammals. Oceans play an important role in our environment. Besides providing a habitat, oceans have an effect on the earth's climate. Currents can carry warm or cold water for many miles, warming or cooling the air.

What will we see?
Oceans can be found all over the world. What you will see in the ocean depends on where it is. The Arctic Ocean is home to many different species then the Atlantic Ocean. No matter where you are, when you are in the ocean you will see a variety of plants and living creatures.
